Duke & Duchess operate as a traditional 70-foot narrow-boat pair with the motor (Duke) towing the unpowered 'butty' boat (Duchess). Although traditional in style, the boats were specially built to provide compact, comfortable accommodation with fully sprung mattresses in every cabin and en-suite facilities available. Perfect holidays for solo travellers, couples, friends or groups; no two days are the same on a boating holiday, We serve a traditional English style of food with old fashioned, mouth-watering meals freshly prepared each day by Rosie who is usually to be found baking her "Cake of the Day" in between meal times. We are able to cater for those guests with complex dietary needs; as long as we know in plenty of time and with vegetarian and gluten free alternatives available if required. If you are a group of 6 family or friends and wish to have exclusive use of Duke & Duchess; you can charter the boats at a discounted rate and have the crew at your disposal.

Not sure whether this offer should be considered as a holiday, training, an adventure or an extreme fitness course!!The Jubilee Sailing Trust (JST) is a UK-based organisation that owns and operates the only two tall ships in the world that were designed and built to enable all physical abilities to go sailing. Both of our ships, Tenacious and Lord Nelson, sail all around the world. On board our magnificent, fully accessible tall ships, everybody gets the chance to participate in all aspects of running the ship - from setting the sails and helming to climbing aloft and taking a watch. Since the charity’s inception 35 years ago our philosophy has been that life should be about equality, sharing, celebrating our individual differences and working together to achieve greater things. The Lord Nelson, which recently arrived home after her epic Sail the World challenge (which saw her visit over 30 countries in 2 years), has just left the UK to embark on voyages in the Canary Islands, Cape Verdes and the Caribbean. Her sister ship, Tenacious, will soon be heading to Northern Spain before embarking on some brilliant Canary Island-hopping voyages, and some brand new river voyages along the Rio Guadalquivir in Seville. Please visit our website to see more details about their upcoming voyages. We’re offering a 10% discount on all of our voyages to all MNA/MNABC members – all they need to do is quote code YC10 when booking. If you have any further questions please call or email me at the addresses below. Many thanks for your help,Best regards,MaureenMaureen Dealey, Sales Executive, Jubilee Sailing Trust, Hazel Road, Southampton, SO19 7GATel: 023 8042 6849. Canal Cruise HolidaysAs your floating hotel moves sedately along on your canal cruise holiday, just step ashore at a lock and stroll or cycle along the towpath with the reassuring knowledge that your hotel barge is waiting further down the canal. Stumble across the local villagers playing a game of boules, or discover an enchanting vineyard, its juicy grapes bursting with ripeness and ready to be picked.Your Master Chef, as well as creating the finest of dishes, is invariably something of a culinary historian and a mine of information when it comes to regional recipes, cheeses and, of course, wine. Housekeeper and deck-hand busy themselves at keeping the ship clean and tidy, re-positioning the barge vehicle, preparing the bicycles and generally making sure everything is just how you would like it to be.
